Call for Participants: Master's Thesis on DRS Conferences in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic

31 Mar 2025 (All Day)

Volunteer interviewees (early career researchers or recent graduates) are needed for a research case study exploring changes in design, delivery and outcomes in a leading international design conference in response to the COVID–19 pandemic.

Heath Campbell, master's student at University of Technology Sydney is looking for volunteers who attended either or both the 2020 or 2022 Design Research Society’s Biennale, in-person or via digital channels. This is an opportunity for you to contribute to improving the experience of attendees in future editions of the DRS Biennale.

The interviews will be a maximum of 60 minutes in length. If you choose to participate, you will receive the interview questions prior to the interview. You will have the choice to not answer any questions that may make you uncomfortable, and we can take a break at any time you feel it necessary. Interviews will take place using a video conferencing platform of your choosing, at a time of your choosing.

There is a low risk that involvement may make you identifiable in the research; in this case, Heath will allow all interviewees to consider the data collected and then request corrections/deletions if so desired.

Once you’ve made contact and expressed interest, you will receive a Participant Information Sheet Consent Form to sign, outlining the aims of the research and conditions of participation.

If you are interested, please email Heath.m.Campbell@student.uts.edu.au.
