The Centre for Conscious Design (CCD) is pleased to announce the Conscious Cities Festival 2025, themed "Regrounding," scheduled from March 21 to March 25, 2025. This annual event brings together designers, researchers, technologists, decision-makers, and local communities to delve into the intricate relationship between the built environment and human flourishing.
The 2025 festival will unveil and explore the concept of "Regrounding"—the deliberate practice of reconnecting with time and place. In an era where society rapidly shifts towards the digital and abstract, the festival seeks to address how conscious design can create environments that foster health, belonging, and purpose.
This year’s festival centres on three transformative themes:
- Reconnecting with Place (Day 2): Rethinking the relationship between people and their surroundings.
- The Human-Tech Convergence (Day 3): Exploring how technology can create conscious and empathetic spaces.
- The Design of Time (Day 4): Investigating how time is integrated into urban environments.
This festival will focus on creating inclusive, sustainable, and empowering spaces that prioritize human and environmental health. Thought leaders, innovators, and practitioners from architecture, urban planning, psychology, and other interdisciplinary fields will gather to exchange ideas, share research, and inspire actionable change. The festival’s hybrid format will allow participants to join both in person and online, making it accessible to a global audience.
