The DRS is currently reviewing and updating the SIG framework, which includes revising its structure, policies, operational requirements, and application process. In light of this, DRS has decided to temporarily pause the approval of new SIGs to allow for a thorough review and ensure that future applications align with the updated guidelines and strategic direction. This process is conducted in conjunction with members of the International Advisory Council and the Executive Board.
This pause is part of our commitment to creating a thriving SIG ecosystem that is well-structured, impactful, and reflective of the needs of the DRS and wider design research community. We anticipate that the full application process will reopen early next year, once the new framework and guidelines have been finalised.
